I first started working with Zach in the summer of 2016. By then I had lost over forty pounds on my own by improving my diet and doing some light cardio. However, I realized that to continue to progress I needed to incorporate weightlifting. The problem was I had always struggled with form and did not feel comfortable weightlifting on my own.  That’s when I decided to hire a trainer.

Before I found Zach, I tried a number of other trainers, but none really made a great impression. However after contacting Zach and doing the initial consultation and complimentary training session, I knew Zach was going to be excellent. And I was right. I worked with Zach two to three days a week from June 2016 until June 2018 and the only reason I stopped was that I moved to Los Angeles for work. Otherwise I’d still be working with Zach.

Zach taught me about proper form including how to squat and deadlift correctly and how to perform a number of “split stance” lower body exercises correctly. Zach taught me how to set up individual workouts, a weekly workout schedule, and how to rotate exercises and weights over different months to maximize my progress. And Zach provided me with a full exercise tracking sheet (shared on Google Drive) so I could see all of our workouts and add my own in when I had time to do my own workouts.

Zach always pushed me hard, but I always felt safe when we were working out. He was always watching me during every repetition of my workouts. That was really important to me given my difficulty with proper form and my injury concerns. Overall Zach is an outstanding trainer and a great guy.
